Hi Roger,
You ask good questions. I work with boomer women helping them to reclaim their life and align with their passion without giving up the cash.
I've created tons of information products, more than writing books, but I have 2 new books I'm working on- Getting to YES Without Selling and The Soul of the Career Woman.
The thing I'm most excited about is a recent partnering with a NYSE anti-aging company launching a new technology that has huge potential and I'm having a ball doing it.
Just wanted to stop in and say hi and also let you know that my "Back to School" sales promotion for authors and publishers is ending soon.
If interested in cover design or book illustration at less than publisher's normally discounted pricing and want to reserve your spot in the short amount of time left in 2008 (and my calendar is filling fast) visit my site or call me:
Thank you for that great interview for the Guerrilla Market Association last night. I just posted a video about it and invited all our friends to check out the association.
I'm glad to have you as a new friend.
For some reason our photos aren't appearing on each other's pages. May I ask if you clicked the link in the invitation email (I think that's what puts our photos up), or did you just write to me?
The reason I ask is that it seems to have happened with quite a few people, so I'm wondering if it's the system or human error. ;-)
Well, Roger, it's not so much a book as a series of manuals on how to start and build a whole series of business types, such as manufacturing, retail, professional services, etc., From sole trader to multi-national.
I've been involved with so many different types of business, and have such a range and volume of documentation in my archives - and knowledge in my head - that it seemed a good idea to review and distill it all into standardised systems for my sons to follow.
I want what I do for my sons to be of a high standard, which is why I'm currently updating my copywriting and graphic design skills (one of the reasons I have some of your own books).
Any books I write will be just a spin-off from, or part of the main work. I've never been particularly interested in personal publicity or publishing any of it, but my sons seem to be that way inclined, so we shall see what happens.
Of course, I've made something of a rod for my own back by taking part in the Guerrilla Marketing On The Front Lines book, but I must admit it's been rather fun.
So, I'm very much a newbie in the field in which you are an expert.
We spoke for the first time at New Year, on the Guerrilla Marketing call with Jay, about New Years Resolutions. I've delighted to have the opportunity to get to know you better through this forum.
What fun that you've written more about 'mind-maps' than I have. ;-)
But as I've written next to nothing about it, there are a LOT of people who've written more about the topic than me., and good luck to them all. ;-)
Still, I have been having a bit of a trawl through my archives - which are extensive - and, as one of my current projects, I am toying with the idea of writing something on the lines of "Mind-maps - the lost concepts'. This would show how the original inspiration for the concept was mine and my father's, and how it was originally created and developed, including some of the original documentation. I've kept quiet on the subject for some 50 years, but, as I'm writing up my lifetimes lessons for my sons, it seems time to tell the story to amuse them and any of my descendents.
Anyway, Roger, I have several of your excellent books near me as I write this, and look forward to buying more in the future as you write new ones.
Roger, your Published And Profitable website is overflowing with great information. I enjoyed listening to your interview with Rick Frishman and so many other informative chats. It was a complete pleasure when you interviewed us about the power of book cover design and building a brand from your book. I've watched you evolve over many years and you are a walking wealth of information. My best to you, my friend, Kath

About Me:
My passion is sharing the information that I've gathered as an author, designer, and marketing consultant. Most people sell themselves short by not communicating the depth of their experiences and insights.
The common threat connecting all of my books, blogs, websites, and workshops is the need to clearly and concisely communicate what sets you--or your business--apart from the competition.
Equally important, everyone has to be able to communicate the "change," or transformation, that they can bring to their clients and readers. Effective communication requires a partnership between consistency, graphic design, and persuasive writing.
