Thank you both so much! I checked out the link you gave, Nikki. I never realized the Kindle used raw html files. 90% of my work for clients is in raw basic html format... I've been using html almost every single day for the last 10 years now, so ...

You mention Amazon. Do you have any quick tips on how to convert your book to be Kindle2 ready? I understand most people really love it but one of the biggest complaints I've been hearing is that there is not enough variety (yet) even though there...

Just wanted to stop in and say hi and also let you know that my "Back to School" sales promotion for authors and publishers is ending soon.

If interested in cover design or book illustration at less than publisher's normally discounted pricing and want to reserve your spot in the short amount of time left in 2008 (and my calendar is filling fast) visit my site or call me:

Thank you for your kind words, Carol. I've been in a bit of a "brain fog" these past couple weeks battling a bout with walking pnemonia (again - *sigh*) so I've been a bit out of touch with my writing. Thanks for your comment. It was encouraging for me, and came at the perfect time!

Thank you, John. I am yet again impressed by your humble compassion towards others - including newly met strangers such as myself. How refreshing! I wish you much success with your latest venture which, based on what I have read thus far, I feel confident will be a magnificent hit!

Thanks Rick! I appreciate your offer of assistance. I'm still trying to figure out how things work here. (Just deleted my first comment to you by error - sorry 'bout that.) Hopefully I'll get a handle on this new platform quickly. Thanks for the add as a friend.

About Me:
As a freelance copywriter, I've enjoyed being able to work full time from my home in rural Indiana. Writing to help others succeed has been immensely satisfying for me. I love hitting the ball "out of the park" when I find those oh-so-important messages that resonate with a mass audience. My clients love it, too! Lately, the passion to write my own books has resurfaced from my early childhood. From the age of 9 years, I always knew I'd one day become an author. And now, almost 40 years later, I'm ready to start down that path, looking forward to the great adventures that lay ahead.

My Pre-School Years

In today's world, it might be hard to imagine life without electricity -- and all the gadgets that go with it.

Imagine not even knowing what a television was. To me, it was just a large box that use to sit like another piece of large furniture on my grandparents' living room floor, just another "table" on which to put framed pictures and small potted plants. It was never turned on when we visited, so I never realized back then what the huge black glass window was for. It seemed like a waste of… Continue

Wallowing in wonderful words and wisdoms

My son's homework last night included a short reader book from his "Book In A Bag" program. He's in Grade one.

The book was about a small pig looking for someone to play with. He couldn't climb, so he couldn't play with the kittens. He couldn't gallop, so he couldn't play with the horses. He couldn't swim so he couldn't play with the ducklings. But he loved to wallow... so when he found the other little pigs he dove in, wallowing in wonderful mud, happy as a little pig could be.

Think of the m… Continue
